Matthew Gray's BGG Tools
I wrote an XML API to BoardGameGeek. I've written
some tools, some of which use that API, but I thought it would be good
to collect all of those BGG tools I've written in one place. Due to recent changes in the XML
API, many of these are broken. I'm fixing them as I get to them.
- BGG Mobile
- An extremely minimal interface to BGG for use on cell phones and other mobile devices. When you're in the store and you see a game that looks interesting, it's a quick way to see what BGG thinks. still works
- Justify your Game Collection
- A piece of humor/analysis explained on my blog by which you can calcuate how large of a game collection you can justify. Strictly speaking, this isn't BGG related, but I'm listing it here anyway. still works
- BGG Collection Overlap
- How much does your collection overlap with someone elses? (see this BGG thread for discussion/explanation) fixed
- BGG Collection Disjunction Calculator
- The opposite of the preceding one. What does A have that B doesn't? (see this BGG thread for discussion) fixed
- BGG Collection Venn Diagram
- Generate Venn diagrams (and lists) for three users collections on BGG. broken
- BGG Collection 3x3 chart
- Generate 3x3 charts of games in your collection categorized by things like length and weight. broken
- BGG Rank and rating plots (see this BGG thread)
- Plot BGG ranks and ratings over time still works
- BGG Collection/Geeklist overlap
- See the overlap between a geeklist and a geeklist broken
- Gamer Cluster Calculator
- A clustering analysis of BoardGameGeeks (not games, but geeks) (see this geeklist) for details)
- Value Loop (trade) finder
- A math-trade like loop finder (see this thread for details) broken
- Random BGG game
- This is a bookmarklet that takes you to a random gameid. Drag the link to your toolbar or bookmarks and visit it whenever you want to see a random game.
